| 8:00 – 8:45 | Registration and Breakfast |
| 8:45 – 8:55 | Welcome and Introductions We are all aware of the significant changes that have taken place since the Trump Administration took office in January – from Executive Orders to overhauls of the DOL, NLRB, and EEOC – but the other two branches of government have been active, too. Each session will provide updates on recent labor and employment law changes in the three branches of government via a practical, interactive, non-legalese panel discussion, with a full group Q&A session at the end of the program. The Moderator will give an overview of the program, introduce the speakers, and preview the topics each panel will address. Moderator: Albert Lee |
| 8:55 – 9:50 | The Executive Branch: Executive Orders and Regulatory Shifts: Key Updates This panel will take a deep dive into the Executive Orders that were issued in January, significant regulatory shifts from the NLRB, EEOC, OSHA, IRS, and recent Title IX updates. This session will also address significant changes in employee benefits, such as evolving healthcare regulations and retirement plan compliance updates. Panelists include Denise Attar, Bob McTiernan, and Ashley Puchalski |
| 9:50 – 10:20 | The Legislative Branch: What’s Happening in Congress & Beyond From federal and state legislative updates to the push for AI regulations in hiring, this session explores how new laws are shaping the workplace. Panelists include Jeremy Farrell, Allyson Lonas, and Isaac Zimmerman |
| 10:20 – 10:35 | Break |
| 10:35-11:30 | The Judicial Branch: Recent Cases Shaping Employment Law This panel will look at key court decisions that are reshaping employer policies, legal strategies, and interesting new cases currently before the Supreme Court. Panelists include Jeremy Farrell, Albert Lee, and Kaitlyn Smearcheck |
| 11:30-12:00 | Employment Law Open Discussion: Bring Your Own Question (BYOQ) This 30-minute period is all about you. It’s an “open mic” time to ask any questions that have been afflicting you or your workforce and also hear from others in your field. Submit questions beforehand or jot them down during the panel discussions, and get ready to have your questions answered. All of the attorneys who participated in the panels will be in front of the group to answer questions. |
