Mark Fischer is a shareholder in Tucker Arensberg’s Business & Finance Department, where he advises clients on complex business, technology, and intellectual property matters, as well as high-stakes commercial litigation. Mark brings more than 30 years of experience representing businesses across a wide range of industries, with particular depth in technology transactions, financial services, healthcare, and energy.
Mark began his legal career in 1993 with Yukevich, Marchetti, Fischer & Zangrilli, P.C. (YMFZ), where he practiced for more than three decades and most recently served as Managing Shareholder. In January 2026, YMFZ joined Tucker Arensberg, and Mark, along with several colleagues, became part of the firm’s robust, multidisciplinary platform.
Mark’s practice focuses on structuring, negotiating, and documenting sophisticated commercial and technology agreements, including software licensing, SaaS arrangements, data-sharing and data-services agreements, benefits exchange systems, and other technology-driven platforms. His work frequently involves navigating intellectual property ownership, regulatory considerations, and multi-party contractual relationships. He also counsels clients on trademark and copyright matters, employment and non-compete agreements, and complex commercial disputes.
In addition to his technology and IP practice, Mark represents financial institutions, healthcare and long-term care organizations, and closely held businesses on matters involving mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, commercial contracting, and litigation. Many of his clients have worked with him for decades, valuing his practical judgment, responsiveness, and long-term perspective.
Mark also leads oil and gas title, transactional, and litigation matters. He successfully argued a significant case before the Supreme Court of Ohio, Fonzi v. Brown, 169 Ohio St. 70 (2022), in which the Court unanimously upheld the rights of oil and gas royalty holders and clarified the application of Ohio’s Dormant Mineral Act.
Outside his legal practice, Mark is an accomplished musician and regularly assists artists with legal issues related to writing, recording, publishing, and protecting creative works.
Mark is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
