R. Douglas DeNardo is a seasoned attorney in Tucker Arensberg's Business & Finance Department, where he serves as a member of the Estates & Trusts and Fiduciary & Risk Management practice groups. With over 35 years of experience, Doug passionately counsels individuals, professionals, and owners of closely-held businesses and professional corporations in developing comprehensive strategies to meet clients' wealth transfer goals, both from a tax and non-tax perspective.

Doug's extensive repertoire includes advising on asset protection planning, including domestic asset protection trusts. He has been a key player in addressing the complexities arising from the recent shale gas exploration boom, assisting landowners in estate and income tax planning for lease bonuses and royalty payments, with a special emphasis on multigenerational planning.

A Fellow of the highly esteemed American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) since 1998, Doug has also earned recognition as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer every year since 2004. He holds an AV Preeminent™ rating by Martindale Hubbell, a testament to his high ethical standards and professional excellence.

Doug's commitment to community service is evident through his active involvement in various organizations. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, serves as Chairman of the Moon Township Zoning Hearing Board, and is a Member of the Moon Township Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. Doug's philanthropic endeavors extend to his roles in the Professional Advisory Committee at the Pittsburgh Foundation and several advisory boards related to charitable planning.

In addition to his legal achievements, Doug is an avid supporter of education and healthcare organizations, serving on the Pittsburgh Metro Area Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society as well as advisory boards for various colleges, universities, and other charities.

Outside of his legal pursuits, Doug finds joy in family and leisure activities. He is a proud grandfather who enjoys watching his two grandsons, and his interests include hockey and golf.
