Tucker Arensberg Welcomes Experienced Litigator Mark McGhee to Charleston Office

CHARLESTON, WV, October 20, 2026. Tucker Arensberg, P.C. is pleased to announce that Mark McGhee has joined the firm’s Charleston office as Senior Counsel, bringing 24 years of experience defending employers, businesses and public entities in litigation throughout West Virginia.

Mark’s arrival adds to the firm’s litigation capabilities in West Virginia, particularly in employment defense, civil rights matters and complex liability disputes. His background includes representing private businesses, government agencies and public officials in state and federal courts, with experience handling matters from their earliest stages through trial and appeal.

In addition to his litigation practice, Mark brings extensive experience helping employers address workplace issues before they lead to legal disputes. His work has included conducting internal investigations, developing employment policies and advising businesses on personnel decisions. This combination of litigation and preventive counsel allows him to assist clients both in responding to legal challenges and in reducing potential exposure.

Before joining Tucker Arensberg, Mark spent much of his career in private practice handling civil defense matters across West Virginia. He also served as an Assistant Attorney General, adding to his experience representing public entities and navigating the legal issues facing government agencies and officials.

Mark earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and his Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Morehead State University.

He is admitted to practice in West Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
