Tucker Arensberg Welcomes Health Care Attorney Melissa Fann

PITTSBURGH, PA, September 2, 2026. Tucker Arensberg, P.C. is pleased to announce that Melissa Fann has joined the firm, expanding its capabilities in health care, corporate and regulatory law. Melissa brings a strong background advising health care organizations, providers, life sciences companies and businesses on complex legal and regulatory matters.

Melissa’s health care practice spans a wide range of federal and state compliance issues, including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. She also works with clients on clinical research and FDA matters, licensing and enrollment issues, payer disputes and other challenges facing health care organizations and providers.

Her practice also extends to corporate and transactional matters, where she represents buyers and sellers in business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and private equity matters. Melissa assists clients throughout the transaction process and regularly advises businesses on contracts, employment matters and day-to-day operational needs.

Before entering the legal profession, Melissa spent more than nine years in clinical research at UPMC, an experience that gives her firsthand insight into the highly regulated environments in which many of her clients operate. During that time, she managed Phase I, II and III clinical research protocols and worked on domestic and international projects focused on women’s health and HIV prevention. Combined with her education in public health, that experience continues to inform her practical approach to helping clients address complex legal and regulatory challenges.

Melissa earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the University of Pittsburgh and her Bachelor of Science from Duke University. She is also Certified in Public Health (CPH).

Melissa is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Ohio and has been recognized by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers as a Rising Star since 2023. She is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and has served as chair and immediate past chair of its Health Law Section. Melissa also serves as secretary of the board of North Hills Community Outreach and volunteers with local youth sporting organizations.
