Naturally curious and intellectually driven, Benjamin was drawn to the practice of law because it allows him to solve complex real-world problems while helping people navigate difficult situations. He enjoys the challenge of analyzing intricate legal issues and translating them into straightforward guidance clients can understand and act upon. His ability to simplify complicated matters, combined with his strong listening skills and collaborative approach, has helped him build trusted relationships with clients across a variety of industries and public entities.
Benjamin has particular experience handling First Amendment and constitutional law issues and is known for his thoughtful legal writing, strategic problem-solving, and dependable approach to client service. He strives to be someone clients and colleagues can rely on, regardless of the complexity or difficulty of the matter at hand.
Born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia, Benjamin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics, cum laude, from Marshall University in 2018. During his undergraduate studies, he served as a residence counselor for the Health Sciences and Technology Academy (HSTA), mentoring students facing social and financial challenges and encouraging interest in STEM fields. He went on to earn his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law in 2021, where he received a CALI Award in Constitutional Law, served as an Associate Editor for the West Virginia Law Review, and had his student note, Putting Together the Pieces: The Mosaic Theory and Fourth Amendment Jurisprudence Since Carpenter, selected for publication. He was also active in the Democratic Law Caucus and the Labor & Employment Law Society.
Outside the office, Benjamin is a long-distance runner, avid reader of history, guitar player, and devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.
