

David L. Shuman, Jr. focuses his practice on defense litigation, with experience representing clients in medical malpractice, insurance defense, and complex civil litigation matters. He is known for his ability to quickly assess complicated legal issues, analyze the facts, and develop customized strategies designed to efficiently address his clients’ needs.
David has successfully resolved numerous medical malpractice claims and has obtained defense verdicts on behalf of his clients, including the West Virginia University Board of Governors. He has also routinely secured summary judgment for business owners and insured clients in a variety of litigation matters. His representative experience includes matters such as State ex rel. Airsquid Ventures, Inc. v. Hummel, 236 W. Va. 142 (2015), and Young v. EISCCA, 2017 WL 2224050 (2017).

Outside of the office, David enjoys traveling to Hilton Head Island with his family and spending time with his wife and their two golden retrievers.
