Edward Kelly is a litigator who thrives on the ever-changing nature of the courtroom. Drawn to the challenge that no two cases are exactly alike, he enjoys continually learning new industries, adapting to unique legal issues, and developing creative strategies that help clients achieve their objectives. Known for his thoughtful, even-keeled approach, Edward remains focused under pressure and is committed to delivering practical, effective advocacy in every matter he handles.
Edward's practice is concentrated on complex civil litigation, assisting clients in a broad range of commercial disputes, employment matters, landlord-tenant litigation, and breach of contract actions. He draws on his extensive litigation background to provide clients with a combination of aggressive representation and common-sense strategic advice. Prior to joining Tucker Arensberg, Edward represented physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers in high-exposure, medical malpractice litigation, trying cases in both state and federal court.
In addition to his medical malpractice experience, Edward has represented clients in asbestos litigation, commercial disputes, shareholder litigation, commercial defamation matters, collections, and landlord-tenant litigation. His broad litigation background enables him to quickly understand the unique operational and business concerns facing each client, allowing him to provide practical counsel tailored to their industry and goals.
Edward earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he received the CALI Award for International Energy Transactions and was awarded a Dean's Scholarship. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with a minor in Communication Arts, from Allegheny College.
Outside the office, Edward enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters. He is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, a history enthusiast, and, whenever family life allows, enjoys cooking.
