Sarah Heilman is an associate in Tucker Arensberg's Pittsburgh office, where she focuses her practice on business and finance law. Drawing on her background in finance, investment analysis, and legal research, Sarah brings a strong understanding of the financial and business considerations that influence legal decisions. She has a particular interest in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.

Sarah approaches her work with an emphasis on careful preparation, attention to detail, and practical problem solving. She values understanding each client's goals, paying close attention to detail and developing creative, practical solutions to complex legal issues. Her interest in business law grew from a desire to combine her passion for finance with the opportunity to advocate for others and help businesses navigate important decisions.

Before joining Tucker Arensberg as an associate, Sarah worked as a summer associate with the firm. She previously served as a summer law clerk for the Honorable Thomas S. Kleeh of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, where she researched civil and criminal legal issues and observed court proceedings. During law school, she also participated in West Virginia University's United States Supreme Court Clinic, gaining experience with appellate legal research and advocacy.

Sarah's background includes experience in banking and investment analysis. As an equity analyst for West Virginia University's student-managed investment fund, she evaluated financial markets and companies within the consumer discretionary sector. She also gained experience reviewing financial statements through an internship with Main Street Bank and was introduced to bankruptcy law through an internship with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.

Sarah earned her J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law, where she served as social chair of her class and was selected as a PracticePro Diversity Scholar. She graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University with a degree in finance and political science. During her undergraduate studies, she was a founding officer of the Women in Business Club and a member of Delta Sigma Pi. She also holds a Bloomberg Market Concepts certification.

Outside of her legal practice, Sarah is an avid reader and Taylor Swift fan who enjoys staying active, attending workout classes and taking long walks with her dog.
