Tucker Arensberg Welcomes Alexa “Lexi” Shapiro to the Firm

PITTSBURGH, March 30, 2026 – Tucker Arensberg, P.C., one of Pittsburgh’s leading law firms, is pleased to announce that Alexa “Lexi” Shapiro has joined the firm as an associate in its Pittsburgh office.

Lexi focuses her practice on representing public sector clients in litigation, real estate matters, and regulatory compliance. She advises municipalities, public authorities, and other government-related entities on a variety of legal issues, including land use and zoning matters, Right-to-Know Law requests, eminent domain proceedings, and commercial disputes.

In her practice, Lexi works closely with public authority clients to help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Her experience includes preparing grants, resolutions, and contract extensions, assisting with public records requests, and attending board meetings to provide legal support and guidance. She also represents public entities in eminent domain proceedings and related legal matters.

In addition to her public sector work, Lexi assists clients with real estate due diligence for commercial acquisitions, including the review and analysis of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and environmental assessments. She also supports litigation matters involving landlord-tenant disputes, commercial litigation, and real estate tax assessment appeals.

Prior to entering private practice, Lexi interned with the Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender, where she supported attorneys in juvenile, pretrial, and trial matters and conducted legal research on constitutional and criminal law issues.

Lexi earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she served as Lead Student Note and Comment Editor for the Journal of Law and Commerce and was a Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing and Analysis. She also served as Vice President of Marketing for the Pitt Law Women’s Association and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Pre-Trial Motions and Pleadings.
