Tucker Arensberg is committed to the success of women-owned businesses and we have assisted several women business owners obtain Women Business Enterprise (WBE) certification. Obtaining WBE certification can help grow your business by making it eligible to attain certain government or corporate contracts posted by entities with supplier diversity objectives.

The three key elements to obtaining WBE certification are as follows:

  1. Ownership: The woman business owner must show that she has at least 51% ownership of the business and hold the highest title (CEO) of the business.
  2. Control: The woman business owner must have primary power to manage the business as evidenced through governance documents and actual daily operation.
  3. Independence: The woman business owner must have the expertise indispensable to the business and show that it operates independently from other businesses.
