Ryan Jaffe works with businesses and individuals on a range of transactional and planning matters, including mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and transaction structuring. Ryan is particularly drawn to the complexity of tax law and enjoys helping clients navigate intricate transactions by identifying key issues and developing practical solutions.

Before joining the firm, Ryan worked as an M&A Tax Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he advised Fortune 500 companies on large-scale acquisitions and divestitures across a variety of industries, including biotechnology. In that role, he drafted legal opinions on tax matters, conducted tax due diligence reviews, and prepared detailed analyses and presentations to help clients evaluate transaction-related tax considerations.

Ryan earned his J.D., with a Tax Concentration, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, graduating with honors. While in law school, he served as an Associate Editor of the Pittsburgh Tax Review and worked as a Research Assistant for both the Pittsburgh Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic and Professor Anthony C. Infanti. Through his work with the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, Ryan supported efforts to assist taxpayers facing financial hardship and tax controversies.

Prior to law school, Ryan gained experience in government and regulatory affairs. He served as a Program Specialist for Regulatory Initiatives at the Texas Department of Insurance, where he helped implement legislation and draft regulations, and previously worked as a Legislative Aide in the Texas House of Representatives.

Known for his attention to detail and analytical approach, Ryan enjoys the investigative nature of tax law. He takes pride in identifying the critical aspects of transactions and uncovering the details that can significantly impact a client's objectives.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his cats, playing guitar, and attending concerts throughout the Pittsburgh area.
